Eid ul-Adha is a celebration of the resolute and unflinching will of the Prophet Ibrahim (AS), who was commanded by Allah (SWT) to sacrifice his only son. Yet, at the final moment, a miracle happened, and his beloved son was saved. The Qurbani sacrifice is where Muslims remember this humble act of complete and utter devotion. And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Pray as you have seen me praying.”. Narrated by al-Bukhaari in his Saheeh. And he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said during his Farewell Pilgrimage, “Learn your rituals from me.”. Narrated by Muslim, 378. And Allaah is the Source of strength.
